Way to Heaven

	We believe the Bible teaches that all mankind can have a personal relationship with God.  Through that relationship one can find the lasting peace that escapes us and be assured of a place in heaven for all eternity.  This relationship does not come through church membership nor any good work you can do.  As the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God not of works less any man should boast."  Salvation is a gift to be received by faith believing that Jesus Christ came, being born of a virgin, lived his life and went to the cross as payment for your sin and that he was buried and after the third day in the grave he came forth from that grave, ALIVE!
	You may be saying, "I am not that BAD!  I am not a sinner.".  The Bible tells us that "...all have sinned and come short of the glory (standard) of God." (Romans 3:23)  You see the standard we are judged by is not how we compare with our neighbors but how we compare with God and his HOLINESS.  I think you have to admit that this is a high standard and no one measures up to that standard.
	This is the reason God sent Jesus to die on the cross, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE." (John 3:16)  The Bible also says, "...he that believeth not the Son shall not see life:  but the wrath of God abideth on Him." (John 3:36)
